Sadmaa Urdu Ghazal by Qateel Shafai expressing pain of separation and self-reflection

📜 Urdu Ghazal by Qateel Shafai

Sadmaa to hai mujhe bhi ke tujhse judaa hoon main,
Lekin yeh sochta hoon ke ab tera kya hoon main

Mein khudkushi ke jurm ka karta hoon aitraaf,
Apne badan ki kabr mein kab se garrhaa hoon main

Kis kis ka naam laaon zubaan par ke tere saath,
Har roz ek shaks naya dekhta hoon main

Kya jaane kis adaa se liya tu ne mera naam,
Duniya samajh rahi hai ke sab kuch tera hoon main

Le mere tajrubon se sabak aye mere raqeeb,
Do chaar saal umar mein tujhse bara hoon main

Jaaga hua zameer woh aaina hai “Qateel”,
Sone se pehle roz jisey dekhta raha hoon main
